POSITION DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Supply Chain Manager is to ensure world-wide continuity of supply of finished goods for all Aton products. This position is responsible for managing inventory levels and the deployment of finished packaged product to meet customer demand and company internal financial objectives. This position will interact with contract manufacturers and third party logistics providers in various regions of the world to develop strategies and tactical plans to meet supply chain performance measures. This position will also advise management and commercial operations of the current and future status of product supply for existing and new products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Implementation of Labeling Changes: In cooperation with Aton Regulatory Affairs and external graphics design firms, coordinate the development of draft labeling changes and follow-up on their final approval to meet regulatory deadlines. Ensure correct labeling is delivered at all contract manufacturing locations to meet production schedules.
- Lead the Company Sales and Operations Planning process: Provide product production/inventory analyses as needed (at least monthly) to improve supply chain dashboard metrics that measure customer service, inventory and COGS. Monitor demand trends and recommend forecast adjustments during budget revision cycles.
- Maintain and Improve Supply Chain Performance Measures: Assemble the appropriate data to create the monthly Supply Chain Metrics Reports, identify causes of performance gaps versus goals, recommend and execute improvement plans.
- Inventory Management: Responsible for achieving and maintaining company inventory measures (Dollars, Inventory Turns, and Days of Supply). Establish and maintain safety stock levels for US and Ex-US Registered products. Identify opportunities for reductions without adversely impacting customer service measures. Recommend disposition of excess, obsolete material and customer returns.
- Capacity Analyses: Periodically reviews and understands network capacity and capabilities to ensure current and forecasted customer demands are met. Translate world-wide customer demand and sampling plans into capacity requirements for contract manufacturing and key component suppliers (i.e. API, packaging components).
- Acquisition/New Product Introductions: Participate on implementation team to ensure product availability meets customer demand. Ensure all appropriate third party services provider systems are aligned in support of the timeline.
- General: Ensure budgets, schedules, staffing, performance and measurement requirements are met.
- Minimum of a four (4) year business or technical degree, with experience in production planning, manufacturing, purchasing, distribution or transportation.
- Advanced degree in related field and/or an MBA is desired
- Minimum of 8+ years of industry experience in pharmaceutical operations management
