POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Manager / Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Position Summary: The Manager / Director of Financial and Analysis will be responsible for the development of internal operating budgets and plans, financial modeling and assessment of internal growth and external product acquisition opportunities and assist in the generation of operating reports. This position is highly visible to senior management and will be directly involved in the day-to-day operations as well as the future growth of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Development of detailed operating budgets and plans including annual, long term and re-forecasts
  • Financial modeling and assessment of internal growth / product expansion opportunities and recommendations to senior management
  • Financial modeling and assessment of external acquisitions, and provide recommendations to senior management
  • Financial modeling and assessment of external alliances and partnership opportunities
  • Generation of monthly operating reports
  • Assessment of industry operating metrics to benchmark company operating and financial performance, and provide recommendations for areas of improvement
  • Provide analytics support for Senior Management and functional areas
  • Develop strong working relationships across functional areas, including Commercial Operations, Business Development, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs and Quality

Qualifications

  • 4 to 6 years finance experience
  • Strong quantitative skills, with proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other tools
  • Operating experience in pharmaceuticals / healthcare desired; Experience in investment banking and consulting is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and to put the pieces together to see the “big picture”
  • BS/BA plus an advanced degree in related field; MBA and/or CPA is desired
  • Demonstrated track record in the ability to effectively influence decisions inside the organization, as well as ability to drive efforts and overcome obstacles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid judgment skills

  • Collaborative working style, with ability to work in an multi-functional team
  • Ability to find creative solutions to complex problems.
